There are presently no open calls for submissions.
Welcome to URSA MINOR, the literary magazine of UC Berkeley Extension Writing Program.
We’re so glad you’re here.
In this, our third edition, we are seeking submissions of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and artwork inspired by the theme, Fault.
Fault is a break, a flaw, a failing; a line that can not be crossed; an error. It is blame. It is the geological fracture that defines our buildings, terrains, and secured bookshelves here in California.
We encourage you to interpret this topic as broadly or as narrowly as you choose. We like voices and images that linger in our minds after we’ve finished reading a piece or viewing an image, and are looking for well-crafted, compelling works on topics that interest us.
The submission period will open on October 30, 2017 and will close on January 30, 2018. The third edition of URSA MINOR will be available in June, 2018. For those who had their pieces appear in our previous volume, we ask that you abstain from submitting in the same category this year. However, you should feel free to submit work for any of the other categories.
Please click on the categories below to read about the specific requirements or to submit your work. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, too.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org or (510) 643-1110
